Headers not going to fit on drop in

Im dropping in this motor and I really wanted to drop it with the headers but I dont think I can do it. yea or na? Oh and its probably going to leak since the cross over does not line up with the headers. As long as no code Im fine until after I get it inspected for the first time.

So long as you put band clamps on there you shouldn't have any leaks. If in doubt put some copper rtv on it.

cool. Think I can get the flex to clear the front of the car on new motor install with a standard chain cherry picker? I suppose I could measure it tomorrow but I wanted show pics of my two weeks work.

Few years ago I put in a motor with the headers on. And a engine hoist.. took 3 people to help guide it in. Wasn't fun. But possible.. This time I put the headers on after the motor was in seemed less stressful. Here's an old shot

I used two u clamps on the front header and crossover on that car and didn't have any leaks.. This time around it was seal/band clamps.

Nice. I thought putting on the headers would be a breeze while the motor was out and it was but I thought it would be easier.

Did you do the cat delete? Oh and I plan on leaving the oil filter adapter off until after install.

I always just put the rear header down into the tunnel and let it sit . It's easier to get it back there before the engines in, I had troubles Geting it down the back with the motor in although I had it ratchet strapped as far forward as possible

I lay the rear in on top of the trans and then maybe start a couple of bolts as the motor is dropped in. It's not easy to do with it attached, possible like the guys have said.
