• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Headers installing problem...

Those are the OBX headers, they need the cross over modified to fit over the trans, and the trans has to have a chunk taken out of the casing for the cross over to bolt to the front header. Also you need to weld the y-pipe or it will leak. I had those headers, big problems from them from day one. I now have Speed Daddy's and never would go back.

no modifications to what would be left of the stock exhaust. i'm pretty sure i have the same ones, or at least a different knock off. had to take a chunk out of the trans case, and the downpipe needs cut, and the collector will need sealed hardcore. looking back now, i woulda bought diferent ones

Gonna do mine soon, gonna at least give it a shot prior to taking it in. Keep the posts comin so I dont have to make a new thread!!!!

Well I bought then already. Doesn't matter the brand, they are stainless steel, direct fit, and have huge primaries with a 3" down pipe. Just need to know if headers I general ate hard to install outer if its worth 300-500 to get installed
Well there are a few things you could do. 1) call the seller and see if you can get a refund. 2) pay over $200 to get them installed. 3) take the hit, buy speed daddy's, and try to sell those. 4) find someone that can do the modifications to help you out. I would first see if you could send them back. I have never tinkered with these headers, but i've heard bad things. A little research goes a long way. Speed daddy's are about as direct fit you can get for $200. spend maybe another ~$40 on clamps and you have shiny new headers.

i agree with tu8i107. i got the sme ones you did. sell them.... i was going to get a shop to do it he priced it at 400.00 even. i ended up doing it myself and ran into alot of problems.nothing lined up had to do alot of cutting and rewelding. this will save you a headache.
