Header Help!

ive got an 2005 gtp ill see if I can google up that trick will the light on affect anything ? as far as ****tier gas mileage power loss? I deleted it with my obd2 scanner but im sure it will come back again

I have no clue what im reading can you help me out what that's all about I have a stock pcm all I know is I removed my cat and replaced with the speed daddy headers I have both 02 sensors in and got a 0420 light I cleared it with my scanner now what is It I need to buy to keep me from running to rich and dumping fuel? I believe that's what I read last I need is my block to seize up @ billboost

What you read is that if you have an 01 or newer car, the computer will keep testing for a rear O2 sensor by dumping a ton of fuel into the engine. So you want to put that defouler in place asap.

I'd like to suggest that you understand the ramification of mods you plan in the future, while we answer a lot of the same questions day after day, I'd much rather see a guy ask a ton of the same questions than make the same mistakes. :th_thumb-up:

Sounds good ill get one after class I figured that's what I read but only a few posts talked about a defouler but everyone kept saying this works that doesnt vice versa couldn't find strait answers thanks.for the info though

Yea so I put .it in still don't .got the cel which is good but i hate how close they put the damn o2 sensor to the exhaust hanger the rubber support for the exhaust is right up on my o2 sensor is there any way around that ill try and take a pic I don't think anything will happen to my sensor

So my cel came on again tonight not sure why it threw the 0420 p code any suggestions I have the non fouled on it already I cleared the code with my scanner

yea I drilled the first one with 1/2 inch drill bit screwed in my o2 into that and then screw those into the other one that was in the package im on a factory tune with intake and headers no cat

Good little read up here. So do ALL cars need this non fouler setup? I have stock exhaust. No cat o² still in the pipe and get the p0420 code. I am getting a PCM from overkill that will be here tomorrow if that will make a difference. He did the rear o² delete but after reading that link from above about the computer still dumping fuel, I'm not sure anymore
