half boost and bogging

undecided

my car is a 1998 gtp with speed daddy headers and everything else for the 3.4 pulley drop minus the pulley and the tune and now currently straight piped and sounding like a pissed off bumble bee.

This weekend i took a trip to michigan (i live in minnesota) and i drove 300-400 something miles one way. Now the car drove perfectly fine the entire way out to the concert (electric forest, it was pretty tight) but upon arrival my exhaust decided it wanted to go on a date with an extension cord :th_skull:. basically the extension cord grabed one of my exhaust hangers and they all broke and the entire exhaust system was ripped off from the u-bend delete back taking the rear o2 sensor with it. So after driving all over bum hell nowhere i finally found an exhaust shop that would ghetto rig something up to get a new o2 sensor held in place and not cost me 200+ to put a new cat in. The car will now not create more than 1/2 boost and bogs off the line unless i really give her hell. My brother thinks its because of the lack of any back pressure in the exhaust system (no resonator, no cat, no muffler), my friend says its the pcm is in limp mode because i drove it without an o2 sensor for awhile.

What may i ask are your opinions?

Rear o2 does NOTHING for fueling aside from some cars doing a weird cat test thing during cruise.

No "back pressure" is retarded... I ran my fieros with a 3 in tube going from the manifolds straight down about 7 inches worth of 3 inch tube..

The fact you are making "half boost" is not related to exhaust. Any exhaust restrictions are going to increase boost, anything else is not going to affect it.

yes i plan on getting a muffler asap as it is because it sounds crappy. and since the rear o2 sensor is supposed to read after a cat where as i have none, would this cause the car to run lean? im thinking if i bumb my friends rear o2 simulator it might help if only a little. and would the bogging be a tranny issue?

hey i put a new muffler on my car and the problem persists. i did the car/choke cleaner hunt for a vacuum leak but came up empty. now when i give it a quick rev the motor wants to and sometimes will die.

My guess: when you yanked on the exhaust, something else came loose/broke. I dont think no exhaust restrictions will cause your car to act that wierd.
