I was talking to a friend today that kept wanting to buy my car from me before I got my license but eventually got his own 2004 gt. Several months ago he pulled a supercharger off a wrecked car down at pick-a-part to use on his gt. So I asked him if he had gotten it installed yet and he said no it didn't fit and it was totally different because he pulled it off of a widebody gtp. So then I asked him if he still had it hoping that I could get it from him and then he told me that no.... he took it apart and threw it away:th_shakinghead2:. Just thought I would share on something that could have led to a top swap.
 


I know that, but I don't think he knew that which is why I was hoping he still had it. I bet he didn't know you have to change the intake manifold and everything else.
 
Just find out what pick n pull you went to and go searching you may be able to grab everything besides the supercharger and just buy the SC from the classifieds and boom..you have a top swap. Gen III sell for dirty cheap anyways. Gen V is what everyone is wanting.
 
There was actually a gtp widebody down there with like 167k on it that had all of the engine still there other than a lot of fuses were missing when I was there. Don't know if it's still there because it is like $50 for a blower.
 


Just call it a GTP not a "wide body" because all of our cars are considered "wide body" even if its a GT or a GTP
