Had fun today

Dropped my car off at the shop today to have the cat looked at, thought it may be clogged, it wasn't.

When I went back to the shop to pick the car up, the owner said there was another problem, the storm that had swepted through in the morning had knocked a ladder over in the shop and it hit my car. There is a nice v crease where it hit on top of the back left fender/trunk area, paint is barely scratched.

He said drop it off next week for a couple of days and he will send it to collision center to have it fixed free of charge. So now I have to get a ride to work for a couple days, kinds of sucks.

Not much I can do or say, if it gets fixed right then no big problem, but if they mess it up , I am going to be pissed.

I'd also get a free rental car out of it...it's their fault...make them own up to all of it.

yeah, at least they were a decent shop and informed you that they messed up and already had a plan in place to remedy it. that's a lot to ask for some places

Demand a rental car since that is your only way of transport. If they refuse, tell them your attorney will be speaking to them shortly. Boom.... got yourself a car.

update,

Car has had damage fixed, looks brand new, they also detailed the car, washed the car, gave me the 3/4 full bottle of my cars paint and both the repair and the paint job are warrented for the lifetime of my car, all free
