just got my rims back, i wasnt happy with the near-black color the people i bought them from had them painted, so i handed them off to my friend who works at a powder coating shop and went with a lighter shade of grey than they were, still wanted the gun metal look though...

just gotta slap some tires on these puppies now

How much did that cost? Do they strip and clean aswell? Mine had a run in with a stuck caliper piston that sent hot metal into the rim. Id like to get them looking like this

well for me it was pretty much a homie hook up, i did some work on my friends car and he did my rims for me

yes they stripped and cleaned them (media blast)
and he said this job would be $400+ normally

Oh my gosh, Those are terrible. Better just ship them to me so no one sees them on your car???? Just trying to be funny. They look GREAT!!! Your buddy did a really good job.

Nice.

Powdercoating FTW. Buff those b1tches before you put them on...helps like no ones business to reduce brake dust.

$400 wtf i got mine sand blasted and done for 160 dollars by a shop more complex colors may be a lil higher but not that high but either way they look good wish i woulda went gunmetal

400 for four powder coated 18" wheels?

I'd say that was a deal....

I've seen a lot of paint jobs and very few impress me.

This one here looks pretty good from what i can tell.

Uber high rez pic would seal the deal really.

lol, thanks for all the compliments guys... one thing i noticed is this board isnt a bunch of ****in douche's like some others

and to answer matt5112... my camera sucks ass

Nice color, and looks like they did a great job. I'd put on a few coats of wax before they go on, it will make cleaning them even easier later down the road.

One persons price on something can very on location. What sounds cheap or expensive somewhere might not be the case in your area. You have to factor in the cost of living among other things as to why prices are what they are. In a nut shell, it balances out when you think about it. Its basic economics.

But getting a good buddy discount is always helpful regardless where you live.
