I work for american express. I see accidents with fatalities all the time. My sister works for the p.I.p. department, she showed me a pic of a guy doing 160 on the freeway, lost controll, he flew off the bike and his body hit a pole. Split him in half. She has to review the pictures for the claims, she almost threw up. From his belt down was completely split off, and was across the street from the rest of him. It was terrible. It didn't scare me, because I still ride, but I honestly try to be safe on my part. That's y I want to give up sport bikes and get a nice cruiser. Slow down. I really don't speed all like that when I ride sport bikes, but that's what they are made for, and I'm really not into speeding in traffic and all that so I might as well get a muscle cruiser.
