GXP RIMs

I haven't pulled a wheel off of my 05 GXP yet but I believe that the front rims are on the rear of my car and the rear rims are on the front with the factory tire sizes on the car. Does the rims say anything to tell where they go? I know on my 88 GT Fiero they do.

Would this have hurt my car?

Thank you in advance.

youll have no problems having the wheels anywhere on the car so long as the big ones are together and the small ones are together. if i were you i would try and find a two more to complete a set of the same size and be done with it. staggered rims on a FWD application are stupid.

this is a little bit of car and drivers review of the GXP: Pontiac Grand Prix GXP - Road Test - Auto Reviews - Car and Driver

Pontiac's solution to these two inherent front-drive directional control problems—understeer and torque steer—is unique. Instead of four tires of equal size, the GXP has a lot more rubber up front than at the rear: Bridgestone Potenza RE050As, 255/45-18 front, 225/50-18 rear.
"We wanted a car to run with BMWs," says program engineering manager Phil Minch. "But we were limited by the W-car architecture, in other words, by front-wheel drive.
"The rear end never lets go when you have the same size tires all around. So we put our computer guys on it, and they came back with a recommendation for a smaller rear tire, to give the car better balance."

18X8's go in front, 18X7's go in the rear. I did just as Bio suggested and purchased 2 more 18X8's for the rear. Now I have 18X8's with 255/45/18's all around.

Is there anything on the rim to say which size they are?

Thank you,

Yes, on the inside of the rim. But by looking at them it's very obvious which ones are 8" and which ones are 7".
