So I was just wondering what eveyone thinks GXP stands for

Just a few i thought of. Any ideas

Im with this guy If you Need to bash a Gxp for your Smaller Cheaper Grand Prix, Im sorry you weren't Fortuinate Enough to Buy the Big Dog, and you Obviously Haven't drove one either Your Moded and Mine Completly Stock and i could still whoop you and a your crappy ebay parts P.s. this is the olny reason i signed up was to bash you

And you aren't bashing? That modded SeriesIII S/C will walk your car if it is stock. I've driven a few GXP's. There is nothing special about them IMO. And get off your EBay kick, no one buys hardly anything off of there that knows anything about modding. Lemme guess...under 25? First nice car...think your hot sh*t? You've got some learning and growing up to do chief.

Nick is right - a stock GTP walk a stock GXP w/5.3 liter. They're just too big and that motor isn't terribly strong. As for the "not fortunate enough to be able to afford one" comment - depends on what you value, doesn't it?

I would have to strongly disagree with that statement. Lets look at some specs shall we.....

97-03 GTP
Horsepower: 240 hp
Torque: 280 ft-lbs
Max Horsepower: 5200 rpm
Max Torque: 3600 rpm
Curb Weight: 3559 lbs

04-05 GTP/06-07 GT
Horsepower: 260 hp
Torque: 280 ft-lbs
Max Horsepower: 5600 rpm
Max Torque: 3600 rpm
Curb Weight: 3583 lbs

05-08 GXP
Horsepower: 303 hp
Torque: 323 ft-lbs
Max Horsepower: 5600 rpm
Max Torque: 4400 rpm
Curb Weight: 3600 lbs

GXP is only 40 pounds heavier, and has 40+ hp and 40+ ft-lbs tq over the GTP/GT, giving it a better hp/tq to weight ratio. A decently modded supercharged 3.8 will walk a 5.3; but stock vs stock, 5.3 will win all day long.
