gxp had black rims?!



Those came on the 07 and 08 GXPs, unfortunately there not the forged alcoa rims. Just cheap aluminums.

and yeah those were powdercoated for sure.

05, 06, & partial VIN's of 07 had forged alcoas, they had the rivets on each side of the spoke. Partial VIN's of 07 and 08 had the aluminum knockoffs and were without the rivets on each side.

GXP rims are polished aluminum with a clear and never came in that greyish color.

What did you pay for them?
 


ok, well thanks for clearing it up, i guess they were coated, ill give em a try how they are, i can always change them later (my best friend works at a powdercoat shop)

should get some tires if not next week then the week after... just so glad to not be on 16's anymore!
 
looks to me like the give is that the center is still the polished look with the pontiac logo. had they been factory odds are it would match the color. looks pretty good, nonetheless.

So when you purchased these, did they come with 2 18X8's and 2 18X7's? Hopefully you're aware that this is how the GXP's were originally set up.
 
yep, they are the normal staggered set... no more almost black, im happier with them now

yeah i know what you are talking about and i agree, just next to a tire the color was too close to black for me, it would have looked like a cop car =(
 
You coulda made the lip silver and left the rest black. But yea I see what you mean. It's okay, it's gonna look baller anyways yo
