I already backed out taking mine to the transmission shop right now to replace the pump shaft

so I took my transmission of the shop this is what I found guy had a lot of toys he owens the truck too, guys shop is charging 85 an hour and he said it shouldn't be for them 2 so that plus im getting the new convert and pump shaft from the guy whos going to give me a tune all for 385 shipped, a few more steps and my car will be done, just need to trade the gen v for headers or some cash to buy them, oh I can not wait to have my car done :)

Could I use this on the 3.8 camaro? If I got this and its intercooler would that be fine?

So found a gen v supercharger ic guy lives by me wants 400, its brand new would it be worth the extra cash?

Sure but I'm sure you know what I'm going to say.


Get the motor and trans done first then get the car running then IC later. Adding al this stuff at once just makes it a headache if everything doesn't run like it should. There's to many things to pin point.

So a guy wants to trade a set of tog headers for the gen v worth it? He said it needs a dp would my zzp dp work with this?

Pretty sure the downpipe needs to be a tog style but ZZP sells that by themselves. Sounds like a good trade you need headers and don't need another gen V so....go for it but you may want to get pictures up close of the flanges etc because last I heard IIRC so guys tighten them up way to much and end up bending them causing sealing issues but in sure others will correct me if I'm wrong.

there's a few guys interested in it for the trade of headers but he's the first one to send me pictures, its going to cost like 190 for the downpipe with a 3in opening

Sell downpipe :) and add a few bucks. Or you could just sell the gen v outright and buy SD/SLPs rtv or wait and find some other used headers.

Yeah thats my plan maybe if he can give me a little cash or I think the other guy has sd, what is a better brand to go with?

Well since you gotta buy a downpipe for it yea I would say have him add a bit.

Togs I believe are slightly larger then SD and you don't have to deal with the annoying bend or modifying them

But

I always like to buy certain things new so there's little chance of sealing issues. If you know someone that can weld buy SD and modify them and you shouldn't have to spend more then what the gen v would sell for IMO

Yeah if he can give me some cash and headers if not ill look at what others have or I can sell it and just buy new, the togs would be nice if I could get the zzp dp to fit
