GTP PCM 2002 and 1998 the same?



You have to have the VIN programmed into the new PCM. But for the most part the tables and such inside the PCM are the same. And the PCM connections are the same on the PCM.
 
WTF........I was told by GM that they are not the same???? I just wanted to use the one off of an 02 to have it programmed for custom tune and keep my stock one stock in case there were issues or I had to send it in etc. as a spare......advice?
 
I have an 02 GTP, but run a 01 file on my PCM. I have ran a 98 as well. There are some different tables in there, but my car didnt complain at all .
