Coming home from out to eat with some friends, hit a deer just getting off the highway.. smacked it dead center of the front bumper and she rolled over the hood and over the car. :(

the thin metal that the headlights bolt to is bent to shiit and the hood latch needs to be replaced, other than that the core support is just fine. Just all cosmetic.

Omgsh you have to be kidding me. Right after you just installed the intercooler. Looks like your project with this car isn't done yet. You going to fix it all? What about the hood?
 


I have Allstate. I talked to the claims rep and it appears that I do have coverage for aftermarket parts as I had it added to my policy a few years ago when i got my front bumper damaged by a flying piece of metal on the highway and it destroyed my grills.
 
I am unsure on them covering the hood though, they said they didn't know and that the adjuster would have to let me know what is going to go on with that. If all else fails they total it and I buy it back and do the work myself and have my friends Dad do the paint work. Here's some pics in the day light. got the hood bungie strapped down so I can drive to work tonight and then bring it to the insurance guy tomorrow. Then it's off to the body shop if all goes well.

that's not even damaged....

i took out a concrete light pole with my car dead center of the front end. that **** destroyed everything and i still was able to just replace the bumper beam, bumper, headlights, and hood and be done.
 


Yeah I personally don't think it is totaled, but my friend Scott hit a deer the same way i did with a stock hood and they quoted him for $3200 in damage and almost totaled out his car. His is an 02 with 130k on it, mine's an 00 with 160k on it.
 
I hit a buck in my last car at 60mph (Buick Riviera) and the air bags went off, it was crazy! It pushed my quarter panels over my doors and I had to kick the door with both feet to get it open. Air bags going off is basically totaled right away. I really liked that car too.
