• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1997 Pulley Dyno Data - Thrasher Engineered Performance

dynodata.gif

Depending on the condition of the car (motor/trans) your maybe slightly higher or lower. The dyno you use may also change the numbers as dyno calibrations are not exactly the same across the board. This is an old dyno sheet and its baseline with a cat-back exhaust, then slightly tuned, then with a 3.5 pulley.

I made 250 whp on a mustang dyno with top swap, 3.6, headers, 1.9 rollers and gen v with n*. I dont see why 300 isnt attainable with a vs, 1.7's, and full size intercooler

Btw xp cam is ass to drive with everyday

Put the crack pipe down dude. XP/S1X are nice daily driver cams. Drove mine for about 3-4 years. Even in Connecticut winters, when I say daily...I mean it.

Car was a 1997 Bonneville SSEi. Keep in mind, I suck at driving on a track.

With a pulley only (left):

I told you guys I sucked at driving, go ahead and laugh with me. 3.29 gears in the fresh trans, S1X cam, Gen V with Northstar TB and 3.4" pulley.

Neither of these slips were a good PB, they were me driving up on the track, doing one rip and here's what we are looking at. A buddy has a G8 GT with intake and I razzed him about his first couple runs. The biggest thing you'll find is the G8 can take the mods, these cars tend to break transmissions and lose more power than they should in the trans.

On the VS, some people have put down very impressive numbers with that cam. I am preferential to the next level up (XP/S1X)

Incorrect. The 01 in my sig has a XP cam in it. I've daily driven it about 20k miles in the last two years.

Back in 2007, I had another car with an XP in it, and daily'd that as well. Put about 8k miles on that.

Still gonna run the vs cam

Made a choice and sticking to it. Nice. I'm sure you'll be very happy with the cam. If you remove your 300whp need, then you can definately get into the low 13's w/o much work. Better charger, headers, maybe gearing in the trans and it shouldn't be tough.

Headers, slicks, solid WB tune and correct pulley size...gut it and do the cable mod out back, 12's easy peasy.
