My father in law had an infection on his foot. They ended up removing his little toe and some meat to get rid of the infection. They left the wound open for a reason unknown to me. He has to get IV antibiotics for like 6 weeks. I was more grossed out by his toenails than the wound. LOL

I feel this is something that should be left to a link and not have the actual picture posted here. I am sorry to hear what happened to your father in law, but this is not something I feel is suited for this site. You are welcome to post links to this stuff and WARN people of its nature, but to have it on this site, it is just not appropriate.

Yes, he is a diabetic. I think it got as bad as it did because he works on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The medic on board had a look at it and said it wasn't an infection(his foot was swollen). He spent extra long time in the rig more than usual. After getting off the rig he went to a hospital and this is the result.

I LOLed though at everyone els'es "holy ****" comments, cause for real, that's what I said out loud before I even scrolled down and read everyone posts.

Hope it clears up, and hes able to keep his foot.
