Needs A Turbo
so if want to put in an alarm you need to bypass the Passkey system....you have to buy a module for this....buuuutttttt no if you have a starter kill in your alarm the igntion is disabled while the alarm is armed anyway so whats the point of pass key? i found an easy alternative....take your key and cut along the sides of the rubber with a razor blade and find the chip inside....remove it from the plastic retainer in the rubber mold. next take it and electrical tape if VERTICALLY against the passkey box and boom no more passkey.....you can use any copied key you want and can still use the original and with the rubber moved it makes for a kinda cool lookin key....pics below....hope this helps some people :)

no thats why i deleted it and put in an alarm :) PK3 is stupid......but then again i havent heard any reports of hotwired stolen gp's....or people boosting GTP's unless it with a blower :th_peaceout:
 
Factory alarm is pretty useless. Then again, PK3 is enough to deter most people from bothering to steal our (relatively) worthless cars. :D

yup with out paying for programming or ordering, just go to ace and get the key copied :th_thumbsup-wink:
 


Well mine must have been a copy to the original, It has a pk3 stamp on it, but the black part is not rubber.. it's hard plastic. It also doesn't say GM on it lol it says "KL" and then "italy" under it.

You can also save the step of destroying the key and just place it behind the rubber bumper flap under the ignition. Works just fine.
 


nice good info i only got 1 key think i will just tape mine and use copied keys now i just need to get ket fobs lost mine
