So. im pulling into the parking at lodging here on post and theres a guy standing by his 03 ish mustang. i back into my spot, get out and start walking toward the building. as i walk by the guy he asks: "what did you do to your car to make it sound like a v8?". i say "it is a v8". he begins arguing with me about how grand prix's never came with a v8 and only came with "3.0 supercharged v6's". id tell him he's wrong on both counts, they came with 3 different engines, a 3.8 n/a, a 3.8 s/c, and a 5.3 liter v8. he keeps arguing with me. so i say whatever man. then he says his supercharge 4.0 will smoke any grand prix. so like a dummy i take the bait. i say "really? a supercharged 4.0? i thought the v6's of that year were only 3.8 n/a's" the 4.0 didnt start in the stang until 05. so i say "show me" he pops the hood and holy crap there is a bone stock 3.8. he has 3" slash cut tips on the back, 20" crome wheels and thats it. he then points at the intake manifold and says "there it is!" "there what is?" "the supercharger!" so now im done playing. i say "ok, look dip****, its a 3.8 v6. looks bone stock. it made like 190-195 hp at the damn flywheel. even if my car was a s/c v6 it made 260 at the flywheel. but i tell you what, this week when its dry out we will run a couple runs, just to see." he says, "why when its dry?" i say "i dont want you to have an excuse when i destroy your 4.0 supercharged mustang, but we can run now if you want." he says " hows about wednesday night?" "deal wednesday night at 930 pm, walmart. we will go from there. i guess that gives you time to put 150 shot or so on there." if he beats me ill burn my car!
