Got some wheel questions? In here!!

i had to roll my fenders with a 19x8.5 +45mm wheel, so yours will stick out (-0.25" + 10mm) farther than mine. about the same really.

so the wheels i bought a while back are no good and can not be saved, I got that from a wheel repair shop, kinda pissed on that, but i have been looking and found a wheel i like the pattern is 5x114.3 the size is 17X7, the offset is +48 and the bore is 75mm, do i need anything by way of spacers or anything else to run these wheels? thanks

I am looking into getting 18x8 American Racing Villain wheels with some 235/50R18 tires, will this fit correctly? I've been doing research but I want to be sure. Car is a 2005 stock ride height.

with 16s you can run damn near any offset you want. 4.5" = 114.3mm, so yes they'll fit. 16x7 is fine considering the stock wheels are 16x6.5.

but my question is why run 16s? its not even an upgrade and the wheels youll end up buying will more than likely be heavier than stock.

nick, add the stock diameter tire sizes to the first page so we dont have to deal with "do i need 245/40/17????????????????!!!!!!?????????" threads.

I dont want to mess up the stock rims. So im getting a set of "egal alloys with tires for $300 while my 18's are being powder coated.

17x8 ET 45 wrapped in 255/45r17?

My calculations put that very close to flush out front, and would require either lower offset or a spacer for flushness in the rear.

Tossing the idea around...

My measurements say:

around 1" between my tire and the top of the fender in the front.

Rear has 1.25" between the tire and the top of the fender.

the above combo would stick out .9"

This of course being horizontally.

My only concern is, hydroplaning in the rear due to the wider tread.

Thus 225/55r17. But alas, 225/55 on a 17x8 would look a tad odd.

But i could possibly get the same wheels in a +35 to push them back out.
