Got in a wreck :(

Saturday is was driving back from Hooters with a buddy and i was on 71 off cross county and it turns from 55 to 25 around a sharp long turn. It had rained about an hour before we left and it was starting to freeze a little cause its still kinda cold out. As I was coming around the turn i put the brakes on and started sliding into the 4 foot wide concrete sidewalk type barrier and slammed into it with my drivers side wheel. The drivers side drive shaft is definitely snapped. The upper and lower trailing arms broke off and the strut tower is bent pretty far forward. The rims on the drivers side have chunks taken out. The fender is bent in as well as some of the door molding. The body shop is hopefully gonna give me an estimate by Wednesday and im hoping that there's not any frame damage if there is I might be parting out my 40th interior hood roof rails and various other things. I really hope it doesn't come to that but ill know by Wednesday.

Even if there is frame damage its just a subframe any good shop can put it in for $200 and under. You can buy a complete one with with controls arms and everything from a salvage yard. I put one in my car from morad parts in a day in the driveway. hope this helpfull its not to bad of a fix

Sorry dude that sucks. i had my sub frame replaced a few years ago by Les Schwab and it cost me $1800 installed with a few other things around the driver side wheel.

I bought mine for 150 with arms and good bushings and a new motor mount, living in ohio u can make a 4hr round and pick it up from him its all highway

About 3 years ago I got a subframe from Morad Parts Company for $75, not sure what they cost now but I'd suggest that you look into it. Check to see if they have any aluminum 04+ ones. They're only about an hour from where I live.

If you part out I'm really interested in some stuff and can come pick it up i'm about two hours away. Thanks

Dayum man...sorry to hear that. Im sure you'll be able to get it fixed. If you ever wanna get rid of those roof rails, I'll pay a pretty penny.

dude, that sucks. glad you're ok, and hopefully it works out alright. that's a sexy car, i hate to see it parted out. during snowmageddon i hit a patch of ice and went into a tree at about 10. cracked the bumper and pretty sure there's some stuff bent. the steering wheel is about 3 degrees to the right to go straight and i might have picked up a new vibration, and it's kinda tough to get it outta park sometime.

but i digress...

Thanks for all the support guys I'm going up to the body shop tomorrow to see if they have an estimate of what's all wrong with it and to pick up my subs and stuff out of the car. I'll let you guys know what they say tomorrow. I'm hoping nothing too serious happened ive put my blood sweat and tears into this car and love her more than anything i own and would hate to see it go.

I'm not as optimistic on the outcome. To me that's a lot of work and likely a total based on value of the car. Adjuster might be nice because it's a 40th, but in the insurance company eyes, it's a GP.

Yep, let me know what they need for it to buy it back. It is fixable, but value wise it's going to be close at best. Cinnci is only about 5 hours from me, so I could come pick it up.

Claim rep said that they'd be out by 48 hours from today so hopefully by Thursday ill know what the damage is money wise. I'd hate to sell her and will pretty much do anything to keep it.

omg buddy i'm so sorry to hear that. i know how much that car meant to you. be glad you are safe. and good luck with the car. everything will work out :)
