ive decided im not particularly happy with my dark gray gxp's, especially how they are offset... just doesnt hit me as the right flavor for my car

just wanted to run by you guys my idea, and mind you i want to be DIFFERENT than everyone else with a grand prix

i was thinking about getting some gold 18" xxr 518's, and for example here's some on a civic in red

ive never been a big fan of gold rims, except on subarus, but it could look decent. the most important thing is that you are happy with they way it looks.
 
I don't know what it is, I really can't explain it. It just seems that although certain colored rims look great on some imports, they never look right on american cars. In theory, gold rims would look great with you color car, but I'm 100% positive the end result will not look as good as it should. Just my opinion though.
 
Photoshop a pair on and see how they look. The gold rims on the Civic look sick, if they look that good on the Grand Prix, then I'd say go for it.

Gold would look nice, but with different wheels.

Have you maybe thought about getting the GXPs powdercoated in gold? or are you jsut not happy with those rims at all in general?
 
what kinda wheel are you looking for? size (diameter and width)? what tires do you want to run? spoke amount/style?

ive been looking at LOTS of wheels lately so i have a good idea of what would look good.
 


i would like a 5 spoke or split 5 spoke, preferably stick with 18x8/8.5 , dont want anything crazy, just want something different

ill spend a half hour or so searching for you tomorrow. i am fairly good at picking out wheels so long as i know what people want. give ya around 5+ links for different wheels.
 
It was just an example of a nice looking wheel in gold. It's too bad those wheels are discontiued. I know sport max makes the 962 in gold. I just some the other day.
