Gen V - Cammed - E85 Build Begins

Just for the simplicity of the build I think I'm going to go with L32 or L67.

With either of those, Gen V, e85, mildly ported heads, Northstar, headers and 3" exhaust, what is a reasonable sized pulley? Enough to run a 3.2?

You should be able to drop to at least a 3.0. However every motor is different so the only way to know what is safe for sure is to tune properly and make sure you're scanning.

Perfect, I think it'd be fun to make a pulley collection just for the hell of it, so I should be able to just bolt right back on.

That's what he's running

Gotcha, very nice!

I'm the local that he's talking about.....I run what's in my sig with a 2.8 and 22* of timing with no KR with E85.

Edit: That's with bone stock heads, never been off the car. Only upgrade was Crow 105's and Manley Ti retainers.

Hope I can get good with tuning and get my car as close to that as possible, damn good numbers.

Those retarded bolts are soaking in WD40, but i'm thinking i'll need some heat, or something..[/QUOTE]

IM FEELING THE SAME WAY. I GOT ONE BOLT THAT IS BEING SUPER DIFFICULT N I GOT IT SOAKING WIT PB BLASTER AND WD40. HOPEFULLY IT COMES OUT. DAMN TORQUE HEADS RWALLY SUCK. WHAT ARE BETTER BOLTS TO INSTALL INSTEAD OF THE TORQUES

WD-40 ain't gonna cut those bolts free....they've got blue thread locker on them. Get a good quality torx bit, and a butane torch to heat the bolts up.
Replace them with a button head bolt to keep it looking good.

I'd recommend propane torch most butane torches are lighters.

Propane definitely works for sure, but I've managed to get them to back out on butane, either is a good choice.

Warning....the bolts come out hard turning....all the way. Which is the reason you will want a GOOD torx bit. If you use a stanely or harbor freight special, it's gonna gnarl the tip and it will likely be useless after only a few bolts.
