Found out my crappy mileage was caused by the vac line on the fuel regulator being unplugged..... Noticed on torque that the vacuum was sitting at 18 found the line put it back on and went back to 21
Yes, vacuum leaks can interfere with getting optimum MPG. Vac leaks arent monitored, so the MAF,IAT,IAC, arent reading that extra amount of air so the meterization gets thrown off and also it can be dirty air depending on how bad the leak is bc its not being filtered either by your air filter.
If i can remember right, I think the Vac PSI should be around 19-22psi but if u do manage to get the VAC gauge just hook it up to the brake booster line. For a easy quick check, use CARB cleaner and spray on all the VAC lines and listen for the change of the idle.
I have no ideal. All i know is I fill my tank once and I do not have to get more gas for over 3 weeks and that is on a 3800 v6
getting btwn 19 and 20 MPH highway...
You proly only drive 15 miles a day.
How many miles since your last oil change ?
