• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Future planning

I know about the time bomb of a transmission GXPs have so I'm saving up for a TEP trans that I plan on installing this summer, even if there is still life in my current trans. Been trying to outline a plan of upgrades so I know what I should add to the TEP order.

I'm a drag racer so my goal for it is to make it a car I can drive to the track and enter in the pro et class which is 8.99 or faster in the 1/8 or 13.99 in 1/4. Haven't had a chance to run an official 1/4 yet but my 1/8 is around 9.48. Right now the only thing I have in it is a k&n cai. I don't know how crazy I should go since money is a factor and the fact that for now it is my only car, any advice would be appreciated.

7/8th 3.29 chain, 300 m input shaft and you'll be good. You have a 2.93 gear ratio now so the 3.29's will help your et out.

Honestly scrap the idea of the 3.29, its really now worth it and besides if you have tap shift you won't want to change it.

I know everybody says YOU MUST HAS 3.29's TO GET ALL THE FASTNESS OUT OF CAR OMG OMG, but lets be for realz here, you won't even care that you don't have em nor notice a HUGE difference. Crusing rpms will be lower and you'd rather have that.

The GXP chain is already stronger than the stock chain in the non V8 cars and should be as strong as the 7/8th chain and it won't stretch on you like the 7/8th does over time.

A new stock converter would be fine, I don't see a need for a higher stall converter or one built for racing.
