• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Fuel pumps for everything! 255lph and 340lph pumps!

Ryan..I take a small pic and pushing down the tab of the contact for one purple wire and then it should slide out of the connector, bent it's tab back up to engage it in the new connector and put it into the same position of the new connector. Then move the other wire the same way.

That make sense..if not I can get some pics of the wires with contacts in and out of a connector housing. They are held in by one tab that pushes on the plastic of the connector housing. The pick bends it down to let the contact/wire slide out. Then you bend it back to hold itself in the new connector. It's probably the one thing I don't think I have pics of.

Move the purple wires. The kits just recently started coming with a harness that plugs into both connectors - previously you had to cut and splice.

On high powered cars I sometimes drill a hole in the top, install a grommet, and poke the wiring pigtail through. The stock plugs kinda suck.

agreed with both of them..ive had to do this twice now -_- such is my burden though. like bill said, ryan just use a small pic, push the tab of one purple wire down and out, install it with the corresponding spot on the other connecter, if it doesnt hold in place you will need to bend it out to make it tight, do the same with the other wire, then there should be a gray tab that locks the wires in place. and like zack said, the top part of the clear/white corrugated hose is a pain in the ass to press on. the fuel pump side slides on nice and easy but the top you will fight like crazy unless you heat it up in really hot water. and make sure you use a hose clamp on top, thats why he puts two in the package.

Ya that corrugated hose was the worst part. I used a glass cup and had the water boiling. I almost melted my plastic cup. I also had to use a pair of needle nose gently to push it on. Pump works great! It took my ipw from 21-22 to 18-18.5. Looks like i gotta buy injectors now :(

Thanks for all the help guys!

PS Also feel free to use my pictures in this thread for the continuation of the write-up. If you need the original pics i can send them as well.

I have a 255lph pump that is drop in for 2004 GPs but I really think 04+ people would be better off going to a junkyard and snatching the return line and fuel rail from a 97-03 car so that you can run a FPR.

Can a FPR be added to any of the aftermarket fuel logs for an 04+?

I'm starting to get tired of making the pump prime each time I have to cold start my car. Any fix for this? Is this normal for these pumps? My stock pump always started up first click, and always held pressure.

My stock pump just died in my daily driver and I replaced it with one of the 255lph venturi pumps... which DO have a check valve in them.

Have you hooked a pressure gauge up to the fuel rail? Is the pressure bleeding off at all at WOT?
You could potentially have a leak at the corrugated hose. Ive seen this at least three times locally one of which was actually a pump I installed - we all make mistakes =).

Ok. You said you had 3 customers that had the same issue and it was fixed by messing with the corrugated hose. Messed with as in replaced or what?

I just took it off and put it back on after making sure there were no holes or anything.

In the past I have always removed the little metal "ring" thats on the outlet of the fuel pump. ZZP recommended to remove it about 3 years ago on a pump that a customer bought from them before I started dealing with HighFlowFuel. Recently though I have left the ring on to make sure that the hose on the pump side has something better to seal on.

I had a heck of a time getting the hose on the top of the canister. It wouldn't surprise me if it had a pin hole or something in it.

Any tricks other than the hot steaming water, and twisting it all sorts of funky?

Push real hard and wiggle. That's about what I had to do after messing two hoses up with various methods of heating the ends. Tried boiling water, a torch, and finally a heat gun. Once you get it to the right temp you have to get it on there fast.

Ya i kept getting it like half way at first and finally i used a pair of pliers to help guide it. I might have put a pin hole in it. I hope not but it's possible. I guess i'll be taking it back out and replacing the hose if Tengis can get me another one.

I've got a 97 GTP. That's a venturi right? Fuel pump just died today. Which one do I need? Just a 255. No need for a 340

What do you need to do to the lower basket to mod it to work? Are you just drilling some holes for more fuel flow?
