Personally...I'd rather use a brake type flare/bubble connection. It stands up to the pressure rating you need whereas a compression fitting isn't rated for it.
I don't remember what year. IIRC it was an Impala. I'll look when I get home@HOR,
What year/part # Impala filter would I need?
I can always Jimmy-up a hose to that - and if it doesn't work I can just get http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-800-054-Nylon-Fuel-Repairkit/dp/B000CIR1NY?tag=viglink25855-20 . I have to buy a new filter anyways, this way if the hose doesn't work I can still go to a better solution than the original set-up without buying another filter.
Well not gonna lie but you're cheap as hell....loltrue, but ive had them on every line possible over the years, never a failure. brake, trans, fuel. i got 2 on my car now for a brake line repair.
for 2 bucks each, its worth it to me.
Had to do the same thing on a Chevy 1500 a few years ago. Owner was being a cheap ass but the end result was good. Never had an issue and future fuel filter changes were easy as hell.
