well this probably wont work but it would be awesome if it did! today at work a guy that hangs around the shop was asking about my car, i told him i had an engine i was building and what my plans were. i brought up a double roller timing chain for the cam and springs im putting in, he said he had a brand new one he never used. he went in his van and pulled it out and said you can have it try it out, it might not fit but its worth a try.

started to smooth my valve covers, i had an idea from a friend on how to do it. i only started on 1 today i wanna see if it works out good


first i threw some tape on the sides after a quick cleaning

then i mixed up some fiberglass resin and filled in the groves

yea? did you see what it looked like before lol, the snout doesn't come up a shinny but if you see it in person you cant really tell. i think it will look better when i hit it with some polish

Coming along nicely. GL with the valve covers..I tried to fill it in w/ fiberglass myself...didn't turnout so well then again you do use that for a living.
