Front wheel bearing Q

I have a hummin/grinding noise in the front end and it goes away when i turn right....so im thinking it iis the front right wheel bearing. So im wondering if anybody has any suggestions before i replace it...

The only one i found that i can shake up and down is the right rear...and it goes away when i turn right i can hear it driving forward and turning left but it totally goes away when i turn right. I looked at the rear hub and it looks different has no large nut holding it on.....what how difficult is it to rplace the rear? Any help would be great.

Rears are pretty easy two, just kinda a pain getting the little torx screws holding the parking brake crap on.

I was thinking about trying the left front...the only thing is that i bought the car in Feb and the guy i bought it from replaced both front wheel bearings April 2010 they were $40 auto zone ones. So...how likely is it that it is bad already?

I just went through this last week. Every test I did told me it was the right front. Others said that is was the opposite. When I jacked up the front end, the left side had play and sounded chunky when rotated, and the right side was quiet with no play.

I changed the left bearing, went for a test drive, and the noise was still there. Went and got another bearing, changed the right side, and all is well.

Here is my install.

your first diagnosis was correct if you turn right and it goes away it is the right one. as you turn right the left wheel has more weight on it and less weight is on the bad hub.... there for less grinding.

Thats what i thought as well but when i did replace the right front wheel bearing, and when i took the test drive the noise was still there. So i didn't even consider the left front, so i checked the rear and the right rear has a very small amount of play shaking it up and down. So I'm a little confused on what to do, so i think i will just change the left front because it does not sound as if it is comming from the rear at all.

Im about to replace both my fronts with Timken's today

should be fun.. never done it before and dont wanna break shiiit lol
It is really easy once you've done one side. I found that turning the wheel left to right while getting at the 3 hub bolts made life easier. A 2' breaker bar helped too, as you can't get a 1/2 drive deep socket on the bolts (hits the CV shaft). I started to wreck a bolt before stopping and switching to a 3/8 drive shallow 13mm, a 6" extension and the breaker bar.
