Well said Douglas- Logan- if you finish my I/C and it is the quality I expect- I will sing your praises- I really want this as ZZP overcharges for their Phenolic design.
Just get these done and don't take on so much next time Gary
 


X2.. Definetly well said. I can already sing your praises. You do some bad ass work. There arent many people that can go out and just make an IC. So props to u man. dont let **** get u down. Keep your head up cause your definetly a good part to this community

TDC, its funny how you say all this but in truth you never once mentioned the status of his i/c. You did mention very quickly getting your money back on Quentin's i/c. I think im beginning to see a trend. Doug- i have been working on your i/c and all i have left to do is cut it to shape, however, i think im just going to issue a refund to everyone who ordered an i/c through me. I just dont have the time anymore and it was a mistake on my part to expect someone to wait such a long time. Live and learn i guess. Sorry to inconvenience anyone.

Logan I'm not going to post all of the lengthy emails regarding these itercoolers and why they have been taking so long. And yes you do still owe us over 400 dollars for Quentin's order. You said I would have that money friday. We have already issued him a refund and now we are waiting on you yet again.


I just want this nightmare to be over. And I think everyone else does to. It's really a shame.

I was supposed to be picking up a check from my school thursday, went and they had problems so i wont be able to get it till this upcoming thursday. They might put a hold on it, im not sure how long that will be, maybe a couple business days. As far as the intercooler goes, im not in a position to be refunding on a premise of pcv operation. It was your responsibility to inform the customer that this was non operational and i would really love to incorporate it on his core but its too HUGE to do that. There are other ways to do a pcv system and you should discuss this with him. I also suggested he try a silicone gaskets for the core, as that may be the case, even though the phenolic is a pretty flat sheet, there could be variation and clamping force issues that dont allow it to seal with the normal paper ones.

Logan. I just spoke with Colin about the issues he was having with the intercooler. I’ll just tell you exactly what he said.



He said he would like to return the intercooler to you to have the Stock PCV function incorporated into the core he has now or a new core. What ever you can do.



He advised me that installing the intercooler and insuring there were NO vacuum leaks that the car ran roughly. He also ensured that the breather was installed in place of the regular oil cap on the front valve cover.



He said he took the intercooler off, Reinstalled everything and the car ran fine.





Also you told me that on Friday you would be refunding me my 416.00 for Quentin’s order that was canceled. Any word on when I should be receiving that?

Well Logan that's why I don't understand what the heck you were talking about. I never receved that email.

Logan i did try the silicone thing. Target didnt carry that stuff u said so i went and got silicone gasket maker. I know for a fact after that there were no leaks. went through almost half a bottle making sure there were no leaks with carb cleaner.
 
Hey Douglas, ZZP actually has gotten better at answering there phones. They arent busy all the time anymore. And they even returned my call. They musta finally realized how ****ty there customer service was.

Pretty much. I had a breather on and everything. How can it go from rough idling with the intercooler then taking that off and using a used S/C gasket with just the S/C and everything going back to normal?

It should have ran fine with the breather in place so I would suspect its a problem with the design. Were any of these ever tested on your own car Mini or did you just make them and send them out and hope for the best? bbptech> you do what you want but if it were me, I'd be asking for a refund.
