yea yea yea you just wanna show off... haha jk where the hell did you find this bumper?

Did I mention I got mine two-tone painted at the stealership too? Cost me $150 for that. So total investment into NEW GM bumper, two-tone painted (i even gave them a different paint code to use for the lower fascia). Get your asses to waterloo. :P

i like how people complain about 1k for a painted oem bumper,

sure you could get a aftermarket/remaned for 200$ and it will probobly fit like poo.

if you would drop a bumper off at a shop to get painted it should only be 500$ if it has to be two toned for just the bumper, when you throw in someones labor to take it off and put it back on thats 200$ by book time. so 200 for labor, 400 for a oem cover, and say 350 for prep and painting the cover. it adds up quickly, plus your paying for shops overhead

If it takes you longer than 20 minutes to take it and more than 20 minutes to put it on you need to find a new line of work

Just to let you know paint isnt cheap.. Its up to around $60+ average for a pint and he needs 2 colors and a pint is the least you can buy, he probably took it to a shop that does work professionally, and did you ever think they might have to blend??

I'm well aware of why the price is as high as it is, that's not the issue. The issue is that I don't have $1k. Not to mention that there are plenty of stock silver 03 GP GTs on and off the road, there should really be no reason to charge $400 for a reconditioned bumper cover then re-paint when I can get on already painted in stock Pontiac silver for far less.

Thanks for everyone's input. I appreciate it.

i just picked up an '99 GT for a DD and it needs a bumper cover and fender. I've got a GM fender already but i'll be going with an aftermarket bumper on it. I could care less if it has an arrowhead on it or if it doesn't look perfect ;)

yes it does take me 20min, book time is another story. i make money doing these bumpers at work
I just have a problem with the guys who thing people are dumb (not saying this is you) I needed mine done took it to a shop came up with $1200.00 quote 350. was for removal and replacement of the bumper I said "ok I'll take it off myself and drop it off." He said can't do that federal insurance regulations state he has to take it off and put it onher wise if I have an accisent he is liable so his insurance wont let him do that. Two other shops told me the same thing. How the hell are you liable if I install the part. Dealer agreed to paint it for free (he owed me a favor) if I dropped it off he laughed at the insurance part.
