Fitment Problems :(

So I've found a set of rims i really like, but i've ran into a few problems. The specs of the rims are as follows: 17x8 et20 5x120

Now I'm curious to know (as I want to run a thin lug adapter/spacer to run these said rims) BUT what my main concern is. What's the fitment going to be like. Or am i just wasting time, and money by buying this type of wheel and making it fit. I'm all about aggressive fitment, but not to the point where it look's like ass.

You're wasting your time. With a 20 offset they are already going to stick WAY out. And most lug adapters are going to be an inch thick making it stick WAYYYYY out.

Find rims that fit, and don't stick out. You can look for 5 x 114.3. There is a much larger variety in that size than there is in 5x115.

what would be the lowest offset that would make for a decently aggressive fitment? without having them stick "WAYYYYY" out?

On a GP I am not 100% sure, others can speak up.

I should test fit my 17 x 9, 30 offset Konig Villains to see how much they poke out.

ok, now another question, what about staggard setups, running a 35offset all around but 17x7.5 up front and 17x8.5 in the rear

they should fit alright i'm guessing, can always run a thin spacer to widen the stance right?

Running different size rims won't look good on these cars.

Stick with a offset of around +30 with a 7-8.5 rim width.

Go with 18's to make it look better.

how wont a staggard setup look good? i'm curious to your reasoning. their an inch wider from front to back.

as for 18's. I've toyed with the idea of 18's, and after seeing a few different gp's with 18's in person, they just seem a tad excessive to me.

The front rims would look smaller with a different size rim than the rear.

Its so much easier to run the same size, get the same size tires and be able to rotate the tires correctly.

Sure if its a rwd setup take advantage of being able to run more width and tire on the back but will fwd keep it simple and just run the same width and enjoy being able to rotate your tires when needed

if you're running staggered you put the bigger wheels up front, it's FWD.

and yes, you DO just simply rotate cambered tires. you just might have to get them removed and flipped before you rotate (if they aren't directional, that is).

all of what's been said is true, but what hasn't been ASKED....what wheels are you looking at? thought of trying to find a set in the right specs that look the same?

it's a grand prix.. do you think it deserves a legit set of BBS rims... lol

No their rep's, in a 2peice..

I've been looking to find a normal unstaggard setup, and made a couple phone call's, but i'm told the same ****.. Their being sold as a staggard setup in the specs i mentioned in post #5
