Hey guys been awhile since I've been on here. Money is finally getting better and I'm going to start the modding:-) So which would yall recommend first, new exhaust or air intake? I'm wanting better performance and fuel economy.

Ok so should I get the whole intake kit or just buy the filter and cage? I see a few like that on youtube and looks like it might work.

do this

guys he has a 3100. first mod, intake.
second mod, exhaust.
third mod...drive car for a while, realize how slow it is.
fourth mod. leave car alone and buy more moddable car. lol

My honest advice.

Leave it alone.

You'll gain 10~WHP max with all the money you drop into opening up the intake and exhaust...oh, and more noise.

I'd keep it stock, save your money since it is apparently a better situation and buy a car with better aftermarket potential, hell...even a GTP is cheap enough now to snag up if you look around.

Dont hate on the 92 3100, my best friend had one back in high school (Circa 2001) and we had the times of our lives in that bad boy. Granted none of them involved any sort of car mod, rather driving the thing like idiots towing friends behind us via hooking up a rope through the back open windows on make shift play school fridge toboggan! But yeah good times

Might as well put a HAI on there. While the car will never be fast, you will get an MPG or two out of it and some more noise. Other than that, save up for BOOOOOST.
