• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Finished Kick Panels.

I recently added 6.5s to the doors, but still felt the front stage was lacking. So I made the decision to do a second set amped in a set of fiberglass kick panels.

Running a Stock set of Mitsu Lancer 6.5s in the doors and Alpine Type S 2 ways in the panels.

On to the pics.

Just a tip from me: it is a little easier to cut the fabric out the mounting hole. If you wait till after you spread on the resin and let it sit for a few minutes till it is like a gel consistency, ten cut out with a razor blade.

or what i've done is cut it out and smooth it out with a dremel after it dries....I've also seen people staple the rim to keep it tight and cut it b4 the resin

I take it that you can no longer use the emergency brake? And whats with the wires running through the door? Theres holes in the firewall you can run them through.

Are you planning on filling in the little wrinkles at the top of the passanger one? just curios. They might actually fit in better if you carpet them, since you didn't tie them into the plastic panels.

Eventually theyll get carpet. Nice to see you guys like em. Ive caught nothing but flak on the other site. Bunch of tools.

Is this your first pair you have ever done?

As far as catching flak on the other site, screw em. I hope you don't think I am giving you flak, I just like to share my way of doing things and opinions in the hopes of helping others.

i'll also admit for a first crack @ fiberglass they look OK... and to each his own, but i'll admit they dont look finished to me, perhaps cuz they're just kinda sittin there, not attached to the kick panel on the car, but hey that's just me, kudos for jumpin in and starting to play with it!

I agree. As for the flack, man screw the other board. Thats why I only go there to keep in touch with some club members for show information. Only way you learn is by jumping in. I did a bunch of new stuff myself this season and learned a few hard lessons. But hey like I said gotta learn. I'm experimenting with fiberglass this summer. Its a bit of an art and practice is what makes you good. :th_thumbsup-wink:
