• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Finalized LIM gasket plans

No CEL, EGR situation was I could remove the bolt on LIM itself, but couldn't remove the nut on the EGR itself. So I pulled the LIM away from the EGR hose.

check the vac lines, one should always plan to replace them, 15 year old rubber and baked plastic are very brittle and break like nothing.

The fuel pressure regulator hose has been replaced with like fuel line lol. But I'll spray the vacuum lines and see if it does anything. Only other vacuum line I can think of is the power brake booster hose and I most definitely put that back on correct.

if its not a tight fit its a leak.

advance auto sells little white T's and Y's for like dirt cheap, 2 bucks for a two pack for most. new vac line is like a buck a foot.

The fuel pressure regulator hose has always been somewhat of a loose fit and it worked fine before my repair. I really hope it's not the gasket itself because I'm mot going through that again lol.

Yeah I took the TB off. I was fairly certain though when I put it back together, it went on straight. I did reuse the gasket which was like 2000 miles old.

Make sure that the hose from the brake booster to UIM is not under pressure and being pushed/pulled. Ensure it's clicked all the way into the UIM, ensure the vacuum line that attaches on the top of it from 97-03 is in place (HVAC). Did you pull the PCV apart when you did this work? If no.. no worries. If yes, fix the o-ring that should be below the pcv. Make sure the throttle cable isn't holding the throttle open slightly.

Pull the EGR tube from EGR to LIM and look at the gigantic crack in it where it meets the LIM. Swap that out and you'll be all set.

PCV was untouched. I have no idea where that is. I wasn't able to completely remove the EGR hose cause it was baked in, like the bolts for the crossover pipe. Now with my braking situation, I had my parking brake on the whole time the car was jacked up which was for like 7-8 hours. Do you think something got messed up? It stopped perfect before. There is a bit of oil on the pass. wheel from the oil filter situation. Could that cause it too?

dont think the lim job can mess up the brakes making them clunk. you'll have to hunt that issue down. time to take the wheels off.

i leave my e brake on over night every night. so thats out the window too. unless you never use it. once again time to start looking stuff over.

I'll start by degreasing the passenger front wheel and see if it fixes it. If not, I'll check the rear wheels. I never really use my parking brake anyway. Mainly for jacking up the car. My brother suggested driving on a country road and slam the brakes. He said "It'll do something," yeah, destroy my brakes even more hahaha.
