feeling slow for my mods

I got my car down to the drag strip the other night and to test out the new tune in colder weather.

mods-
1.8 roller rockers
headers
gen v
3.4 pully
cat deleate
custom tune by prj

track prep
subs and rear seats removed left headlight removed aswell

my intake temp 80 on the line and 70 mid track

my 60 times were consistent 2.2 and quarter 14.6 @98

what do you think is this slow

I would look at the tune. You might be running rich. Having no cat does it smell like you have alot of unburnt gas.

seems a little off possibly. I ran 13.45 @104 last year with similar mods. My car then had street tires, 3.4 pulley, 93 octane, no IC, gen3, stock TB, headers and catback, stock gears, stock heads, stock rockers but w/ the small cam I still have, tuned w/ DHP by me.

Based on your mph I would guess might be a little short on power and based on your 60ft I would say you need to work on your launch before you worry about your ET.

as for kr I am showing very minimal amounts just a lil at shift like 1

the tune was done by prj i know ive heard alot of really good stuff about him so i assume its a good tune, and he would have noticed it running rich i would think

i dont ever smell any fuel unburned but then again im not behind it when its running to often either

i knew you guys would say driver mod but trust me i dont think its me, ive had it down the track a few times and tried with burnout and without all to get the same 14.7 to 14.6 quarter.

When i launch i hold the brake and raise the rpm to a little over 1000 rpm then mash to the dash. Not really any wheelspin some chirping is all

also the previous owner came with me in his g8 he told me how he launched it and i did the same way but the difference is it ran a 13.8 when he owned it

it sounds like the tune is off it should be traping around 104-105 tuned properly, in my 06 i had a 3.4 pulley a 3" down pipe and a drop in k&n everything else stock with 104 unleaded race gas it ran 14.2 at 101 with a 2.2 60 foot, it sounds like your missing 25-30whp that you should have

it was also just as slow before the tune i have an aeroforce and it did a 14.5 before and after the tune, so i dont think its the tune but i have no way of telling, i know have good fuel system paul told me he checked it for me.

Holding at 2,000 would be better as the tq converters stall is near like 2200, would help you get off the line quicker.

Hard to compare ETs at different tracks across the country - I'm almost half a second faster at my preferred local track (Pittsburgh Raceway Park) vs another local track (Quaker City Motorsports Park). Quaker is slightly uphill - you can't really tell unless you look hard for it, but it ruins your ET.

That said, if your local track is comparable to the 'national average', then I'd most likely agree with:

Lots of knock or too much fuel.

Can't say for sure without seeing a scan, but that's usually why these cars are slow for the mods.

You sure you were managing a 2.2 60'? That's not great, but not terrible enough to really warrant a 14.6 ET with a 98 trap speed. My old Regal at one point of it's life was running 14.0 @ 99 with a pretty similar 60'.

timeing is about 16 degreess but as far as being rich how can i tell without a wideband i have an aeroforce

dont have a wideband just asked to borrow a friends but its welded in his car, i do know the short trim goes to 0 with a little throttle input.

long trim is never more than plus or minus 5

is anything else usefull, kpa? im runnning about 12 lbs of boost
