• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Favorite OS?

Just curious what is everyone's favorite OS.

I have used ALMOST all of the main ones because of the classes I am taking.

I personally think Windows Server 2003 is pretty sweet. It doesn't do a lot of stuff but it is stable and just fun to play with.

I also enjoy using Vista a lot. Bash me if you want but if you have a GOOD PC running Vista 64x, Vista is a good OS.

still enjoy my XP Pro. been thinking about getting windows 7 though.

server would be useless for me to have and 2000/ME is unstable as ****. i would rather use windows 98 than those. never ran vista or 7 though, so i dont know about them.

I don't like Vista because it's a resource hog. It makes good computers feel like complete crap. Windows 7 is where it's at! Much smoother and uses a lot fewer resources.

Back a few years ago, I used Fedora and Ubuntu Linux releases. Those would run on just about anything with a processor.

Yeah I'm running windows xp media cener edition, love it.
I loved 2000, ME was garbage though. Worst idea any company has ever had, ever.

i heard vista isnt that bad if you turn off a lot of the little background programs it runs all the time.

LOL
and here i thought vista crashed on every1 atleast once.....
and how the heck did dos crash on you?

I use XP 64 and have no complaints. I had Vista for a couple months and liked it but switched back because of no driver support for my TV tuner.

I tried a beta of 7 and loved it. I'm buying a 64 copy as soon as I have some spare cash.

Win 7 Ult 64 with a tri-boot of XP Pro, and Linux. Thats my laptop.

I also have a XP Home AIO, and three macbooks. Two Pros and one Air. All running Snow Leopard.

I am still partial to Windows 7, been using it since beta testing began.

I only have the macbooks cause our company uses them and we get new ones every year. Dumb cause I only run AutoCAD and Tekla on them through Boot Camp.
