Not as long as their are ppl who want to tell their stories of self-reliance and brag how independent they've been......... I swear its like you guys try to one up each other on how independent u are.

I was dropped off at a doorstep as a baby. At the age of 4 I was sent to a foster home because my parents physically abused me. Then at age 8 I was kidnapped and sold as a child sex slave. There I performed my first porn movie.... with a goat. The police raided a taping when I was 10 getting it on.... with a chicken. Once again i was placed in foster care. I thought my world was getting better, but little did I know it would get much worse. My foster parents were addicts and stuck a needle in their arm every night. Some times i would hear the banging of a headboard or the sound of a body being slammed against the wall. Moans would fill through the house and a funny aroma would ensue. At 14 I ran away and joined the midget circus. I started earning money and eventually became the Ringman. Now I'm 18, pay all my own bills, bought my own car, have an awesome job, and a toothless midget wife whose 73, kinda looks like Yoda, and enjoys making love..... And I did this.... all on my own. God Bless America.

What's wrong with people showing off their independence? Do you have a problem with people showing off what was given to them, while they call everyone else's car a POS? I kinda feel like you shoved what was given to you in peoples faces and downgraded them because they bought what THEY could afford....not their parents. COuld be wrong though.

Nothing wrong with it. Just wish you people would understand that no one really gives a crap. You all type and type and type......and no one cares how independent or amazing the last person was, just as long as their triumph over poverty and sadness is better than the one before.

I don't spoil my kids my son asks how he can earn money and i tell him i'll give him a dollar if he lets me punch him full force in the eye. He's a dollar richer and I haven't seen him since the trial.
