I had a nice, modded up, 89' Blazer when I was 16. I was given it... if I could get it to run. Had to pay ins, etc as well. When I moved to the city, and the gas mileage was too bad to have anymore for my low pay, I oversold it to a redneck who I knew would take care of it and bought my baby... 97' GP GTP, black on black... was like I hit the big leagues. and it was only 3500$. Beat that ****ty v6 charger, any of the ponies, and the rich boy who can't drive that vette.

Take it by the horns man. Made that rich boy the laughing stock. If you ain't got the muscle... piss on his tires. It's good for the environment and your soul.
 
Im 17 and i have to pay for absolutly everything i have. I have held a steady job for 4 years now .. dad has passed away and its just me and my mom. i help my mom pay some bills and i paid for my prix and all the mods i have done. i also have a bike that i just bought . its a buell and i love it may i add:) some people have life so easy while others struggle to get what they have and have a huge heart out to help everyone out and to only do good to others while it seems money make people asses or just plain rude. I will add though there are a few people in this world that have a lot of money and still are very great people and treat everything right. i just feel the people that struggle so bad should be rewarded more and at least noticed. many people look at people with out money and just look at them like trash its bull. because this world is full of puting people in a class. you dont know the struggle some have gone through to get what they have and their proud of what they have

^^are you cocky? I get that vibe from just about every post. I feel like you were spoiled...maybe a only child...IDK I could be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Hes actually pretty nice, quite a bit older than 17, yes hes arrogant and he works hard.

I think anyone can be put in a negative light when just reading text. You cant see the emotion behind the words or the facial expression.

As for self reliance: alot of people are. Its just that the ones who arent that get the spotlight.

Not accusing anyone here but I know alot of people who make their life sound plain awful in comparrison to others for pity, prove a point, flat out lie, spoiled and dont know it, get sympathy, make excuses for theirselves or Martyrdom. -ike my youngest sister.


Point is people have always had a hard life and its to be expected. Be proud of tje way you make life for yourself and stop getting jealous of others. Or make it better.

Cocky, maybe. Everything else you fall about 60 yards short of being correct.

I don't need to tell the internet about all the hardships I've overcome and how independent I am to make myself feel good.

i hate this also i have no problem if a parent wants to spent 2-3k on a car for a 16th birthday present but there is a limit you need to teach kids responsibility. i was given my first car. my dad paid all of $50 for a pos geo metro with 205k miles. then my mom bought my second car the cutlass for 3k and she helped with some of the cost, and then my 3rd car i got because she was getting ready to trade in her grand am, and since i still owed her 2k on my cutlass. she gave me the offer of selling the cutlass giving her all the profits, and having the grand am. so i will admit i have been helped with 3 cars, and in total it was about $3k. i never have bragged about it because frankly im embarassed by it, and if anything now that i have financed a car my self it has tought me things earned are so much better than things given
 
I wish I was spoiled and mommy bought me a clean as a whistle last gen WS6 like some 18 year old prick on my street.
