ER rockers gain

Just letting mainly N/A people know how good of a mod this is if any future GT owner wants to do this. This is really the best mod you can do to a N/A L36 besides Hv3 and probably a tune. When i first test drove the car after install i didnt really feel much difference from 0-60 but i felt some good pull after 60 or 70. I never really felt a difference in mods til after a few days anway. But after a few days i noticed it def does feel diff. And sound change happens too, my engine sounds alot more beastly specially when it downshifts and starts pullin. So this mornin was nice and cool out no humidity and decided to hit this straightaway that i know cops dont patrol.my 0-60 before the rockers was between 6.8 and 7sec. Did a pull and knocked down an impressive 6.3! And my previous best 0-90 was about 15 flat and i knocked off an impressive 14.3! That says alot, yea i know GTP's can do that with basically 2 or 3 mods but this is all motor. So for any N/A person thats lookin into mods to stay N/A do ER rockers you will like them. The last thing before slowly buildin up for my top swap will be a tune and hopefully ill be even quicker then that. Track day is coming soon stay tuned.

sounds great! i picked up some 1.8's RR but found out after the fact that ER would have been a good choice too for my topswap. where in fl are you? im over in daytona if you need help with tuning.

Oh i see man.Im in cape coral its exactly across the state from west palm beach so im on the west coast :( but im roughly 3-4hrs from you.

well Spartin is planning a meet early next year in the tampa area or orlando.... i should be able to make it.

Sounds good.ill try and make that when i find out when it is. I forgot to mention i still gotta crappy tires so i did get a decent amount of wheelspin but new tires and tune in bout 2 weeks should quicken things up nicely.

Er rockers are great.. So is a GT1 cam for what it's worth.

BTW...if you are looking for a set.. PM intrigue98... he's supposed to be pulling a set off soon.

whos doing the tune? if they arent local, let them know that you may need the fueling a little richer then normal. i have seen over the years all mail order PCMs run lean down here... being in florida the air pressure is higher then what others are seeing up north in the mountains and at altitude. We are closer to the equator that increased air pressure, close to the water so the air is denser, and being at sea level we see the highest pressure... i have seen time and time again people who follow the writeups and should be running KR free and they are getting 7+ * of KR on setups that should run KR free. it seems we need extra flow mods compared to what most up north need. this is all a great thing for people who are NA! i have seen in the tunes where max MAP is set to 98 kPa and on a normal day i have seen 102 kpa and some of 103. so i always keep that in mind when tuning.

Oh thanks for the break down.had no idea about that. Im still up in the air about where to get a tune from, sadly theres no one local within an hr of me that i know of.Iwas deciding between intense and overkill but i may try will overkill since he tunes alot more critically.I dont know yet.

After talking to will i would deff go with him, his tune are about safe power he doesnt like to try to get that extra 1-2hp if it means it may be hurting the engine, so im guessing mail order tunes he is probably even more safe since it has to work for all 3800's safetly.

Sorry to insert this question, but ive seen this N/A so many times, and alot in this thread. What exactly is N/A?

What ratio did you run? Will 1.9s work on N/A? I see 1.9s advertised for S/C and "split ratio" for N/A. Thanks

Are the bolts reusable?

stock bolts are NOT reusable, they are torque to yield so that means they are stretched when installed, new bolts are not expensive and you also need new valve cover seals
I find my car pulls so nicely on the highway now versus stock
