ER rockers gain



I have ordered the Overkill tune, will report how much of a difference it makes once I get it installed.
 


i havent got my hv3 in yet nor do i have rockers, but my incar tune from overkill was the best mod by far, I am getting retuned after the hv3 cause i have also added a dowpipe since the tune.
 
I'd be willing to bet a tuned car that doesn't have an HV3 or rockers would run right with it...or even beat it.
 
Aside from trans settings, how does a tune give you that much of an improvement.

Unless of course the car runs rich or lean from the factory.

They only way you can get rid of KR is to command less timing or run richer.

Neither of which really solve the problem.
 


Bull, that's the point of higher octane.

I knock on 87 with a 12:1 AFR and 36* WOT timing.

I don't knock with 92.

Ask Ben (Pepino) how the race between our cars went, or for that matter, ask Cody (Serenity).

Tune > Mods...for the most part, especially with stock crap.

Nicks right.. I've taken control of a couple gtps, slightly modded and stock. And I raced a top swapped car and he put one length on me from 2 60 rolls, but I held him right at that.
 
all I know is I had a cold air intake a u-bend delete for mods and it didnt boost the car much but when it got incar tuned on 91 the impala has much more power now.
to be a lil on topic lol rockers well be a mod i will be getting soon.
 
tell that to the hundreds of us that have reused the bolts more than once with zero issues.

I'm pretty sure in my thread about installing the rockers I was not told that. thanks could of saved myself a few bucks
 


they simply arent torqued enough to stretch the threads that badly. the only thing i won't reuse on the motor (top end, i won't touch the bottom end) is the head bolts, but if im going that far im already switching to head studs.

And with my recent wb tune, im not hitting the 28° of wot timing i was before and I'm pulling harder.. Now I'm gonna start over with an 04+ table and pull it back up to 30° this time and see how quick this ***** gets up.
