hey everyone, my name is Josh. I just bought my first GP and its a 99 SE. I know its like a few Buicks and Old's but i got a question bout swaping a motor and cant find the answer anywhere else. I need some insight b4 i start spending money.. but its got a 3.1L in it from the factory. Im wanting to swap a 2000 GTP 3.8L S/C into it but wanted to make sure it would bolt right up the the factory engine mounts, i also plan on getting the tranny from the GTP as well but plan on building up the engine/tranny from stock b4 swaping it in. I dont see alot of high hp GP's out there and wanna catch some rice burners off guard and try and win some cash haha.. but any info or links to info would be a big help... thanks

Your better off starting with a GTP in the first place, its going to cost alot to swap everything over and make it all work.
thanks for the insight guys.. and thanks for the list of **** Rook... and fivefingerdeathpunch, thanks for ur opinion, but i had to get this car, low miles wen i bought it, and only rust is on the skirts, already got a quick fix for that, and the only things im worried about is the engine build, cuz wen i find the 3.8L, im tearin it down to the block and putting all new internals in it. i found a good site thats got everything i need. still gotta do some research on a good combination of crank, cams, pistons, heads, etc. trying to get the most out of it. but trust me, i wanted a gtp but everyone i found was complete ****, owned by kids that dont know how to care for cars.. if you guys no of some good sites i should look at that would be appreciated..................... and dsmuts, im from brunswick...
