I keep having to refill my antifreeze every 2-3 days... checked my radiator, had brown gunk in it. Flushed it, i replaced my radiator hose, and thermostat..still same problem. I started checking stuff then found this white looking stuff in my oil filler neck. Ideas on what it could be? Head Gasket? Bad Radiator? Also, cant find a anitfreeze leak anywhere from the radiator or hoses connected.
 


If you flushed it and replaced all that, it could be eating its own coolant.

Do you know if the Lower intake manifold gaskets have ever been replaced?

Have you checked the oil? Is it normal or is it milky like?
 
Oil is brand new, changed the oil when I did the rest. Ill check again though. And no, I just bought this car about a month ago. I also ordered a new radiator for it should be in today.
 
It almost sounds like lower intakes leaking to me but I thought it was uncommon for the 3.8 no matter s/c or na

Valve cover cap can be misleading.

Check the dipstick and or look in the valve cover at the head/rockers. If those are well coated, then yes..you have coolant in the crankcase.
 
Nothing on the dipstick but there was a little in the valves..great..well either way it has to be serviced. I think when I replace the LIM im goin to replace the head gaskets too just to get it over with..


BUT before I do all of this, how would I check for a cracked block?
 


Cracked block and or heads/head gaskets are very uncommon which is why I'm trying to diagnose if you do a bunch of little trips and never get it up to temp.

Fall/winter is perfect for some condensation in the motor. Which can cause what you see. The correct test to see if you have water in the oil is to look at the dipstick as it gives you a real look at the oil. I've seen many people misdiagnose by looking at a little condensation on the cap or valves. Please tray this.. start the car.. let it run for a few minutes.. then check the oil immedicately and take a picture. Also take a picture of the valves with the goop on them.
 
I was going to try and check it but I had just recently got an oil change. So it probably wouldnt be in there. BUT I did swap out my radiator for a brand new one. Hopefully this works!
