My car has been perfectly fine no weird noises or sounds. today I came out of work at 5 (was fine on lunch) I remote start my car just a few moments before as I come out I hear this noise from this video kinda coming little bit I can rev it and it will come and go I just put this motor in not more than a few months ago and it's been running great I bought the car with a blown piston because of a clogged cat... this just looks like a fluke

Im not really looking to fork out the cash for a new motor again. I Obviously I'm outside of the warranty already just figured I'd see what you guys thought I'm wondering if its main bearings.

Re: Another Engine Issue.. With Video

take the sc belt off first, then start it up, if it still makes noise, take the other belt off, run it, if its still there with no belts your kinda F'ed. hope for a bad pulley water pump a/c compressor idler,or tensioner. along them lines.

Re: Another Engine Issue.. With Video

do you have an mps on your supercharger and are the bolts hitting the fusebox... i had the same noise and turns out my fusebox had come off the fender and was sitting on the snout

Yeah I'm cooking some cheese brats and I was gunna pull the belts... I feel it might be bottom end as it gets louder when I pulled in the garage. I'm crossing my fingers but expecting the worst

No I did a quick look over the second I heard the noise. Everything was clear of the belts.

thats not good, you'll be separating your engine and trans at least. if not pull it or the trans out to fix that.

Yeah it's a little odd we never took off the flywheel or even messed with the rear main seal cover during the swap. My brother and I put the engine in only 2 months/1200 miles ago so I'm glad it's just that bolt... I'll gladly pull it to not have to buy a whole new engine lol.

Lol I'm just glad the bolt didn't make its way out into one of the holes in the flywheel

Motor is out and on the ground. I'm getting headers what else shod I do while it's out? I'm already doing a rear main seal since it is leaking slightly.

Well right now would be a good time to make sure all the gaskets have sealed up correctly . I know it's new but it still could have a leaky gasket . Just saying check the oil pan gasket really well . You'll thank me later if its bad

I decided I'm changing the oil pan and gasket as well. Something I didn't do before I put it in the first time.

I'm buying the ssautochrome headers..
My cat was gutted and resonator removed... Everything was welded up... My question is do I need a downpipe?
