• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

E cig, cause cigarettes are for losers

Coil Building is not something that can really be explained by typing, get some wire, start wrapping. It's kinda like working on a GP, at first your all WTF after a while it becomes an everyday activity.

isn't a 0.3ohm setup a pretty low number for a guy just starting out to shoot for? i figured running a couple 1.5ohm coils would be a better places to start...

i can't even take a full, realistic pull off of the mini pro-tank i've got without coughing up a lung.

My wife has been building for a week now, her first dual coil setup was .3Ω

It's too easy for a great vape. Read up on battery safety and enjoy the clouds.

You can do a single coil on the Igo W and enjoy a good vape also.

that's the one i've been puffing on since i got it all clean and charged up (different battery).

i will rebuild the igo-w and see how it works out. if it's something i don't really want to delve into that much more i may just get rid of the expensive one and continue using the mini pro-tank2. it seems to get the job done when i turn the battery up all the way, hah.

coiling attempt number one was a part success, part failure. corey sent me some 30ga wire, which seems like it's fine for what i'm trying to do.

i figured out my meter at home doesn't measure super low resistances, so i basically had to guess and hope for the best. i used a small screwdriver to wind the coils on. it seems like that and a 1/16" drill bit are about the same. i started with 15 coils on each coil and after powering it up the coil didn't even glow and it wasn't getting that hot. so i unraveled 3 of the coils and left each side as a 12 coil run. i figured i'd see if it worked before i got too overzealous with making a low ohm coil so i stuffed it with some cotton and reassembled.

it works. not well, but it works. the mini pro-tank2 i've got with the e-go battery works better as of now. so i really need to try it again with a lower coil count. however, i think i should work on getting a legitimate meter before i go too much farther.

hey bio on the protank2 do 8 wraps of 30awg and that comes out to about 1.8 ohms and will be nice. It just takes trial and error to figure all the sh*t out

near the beginning of this thread texas posted a link to a youtube video about how to rebuild the pro-tank 2 completely. That video will help you a ton with coils and all. just seeing it done. it's the same basic concept for building any coils

the mini the coils you break down its easy after you pull the pieces apart

oem ;)

top just pulls off, might need some pliers to get a good tug, do not squeeze hard!

Pull out bottom pin from grommet

Pull out grommet and coil will usually follow. One leg inside the grommet +, and one leg outside grommet -

Wrapping a coil and reverse installation kind of.

8 wraps on a micro coil is below 1.8, I get 1.3ohm on 8-9 wraps. 15wraps ya you need more juice for that puppy. Id be safe so say a 9 micro wrap wont blow anything up. Before you wick it and the coil is installed fire that sucker up and let the coil glow white for a few seconds. If it doesnt go white after a second or so give it more juice. Dont dry fire a cotton wicked coil:)

Bio I hope the mail man didnt screw up my perfect round coil I sent you!

I'm just saying, i do 8 wraps of 30awg and it comes out to around 1.8 every time. + or - .2 ohms. but i can't remember what size drill bit i use right off, i'd have to go look

so i can't post pics still right now, but. as far as how it is. it is heavy, and very well made. it's #525th made. has a few flaws, but is to be expected with mods of this caliber. connections and the bottom button are amazingly designed and are by far the best connections/button setup i've used yet. I have the black trident with the brushed silver center ring and it is a damn good RDA. Design is smooth and flows great with the AR mod.

did a pretty damn good build today. here it is
1/64th drill bit
30 awg
8 wraps x 4 coils. .39ohms

an extremely warm vape and puts off oober vapor.
