duel fuel pumps?

hey, anyone know of any mock ups or anything anywhere for a duel 255 or 340 fuel pump setup for the gtp? I've been kinda looking around and not seeing anything so I turned here. hope to here something, thanks

To get 2 in-tank pumps to work, you have to cut part of your bucket away, as the venturi won't keep up. And, plan on never letting it go below half a tank.

Honestly, you will never need dual pumps.

Now what you can do, if you are truly set on added pressure, is do a 255 in tank and a boost a pump outside.

Theres been a few dual pump setups, most copy from other GM platform dual pump setups. Downfall is when one pump fails.

A platform that will never need two pumps? Harsh lol stage 3 heads, l26 intake, st4 turbo cam, s259 72mm turbo, e85 on #80's, a few other goodies we wont mention, and a triple edge trans, was just at zzp two days ago and when I'm done looking for 580+ whp with a good dyno tune.. so yes two fuel pumps sounds right to me.................... but any ways do you know if the f-body setups are in any way close to the setup on ours? because if so I'm sure I can find a mock up from them to base it all off of. thanks guys

I stand by what I said. Get a good 340 pump that will handle e85 up past 600 wheel and you're fine.

Not tryin to argue but Steve at zzp told of a purple one with a really close setup to mine that was maxing out his duel 255 and #80 injectors at 595 whp.... So this is why Im continuously saying duels.... I understand and am totally with ya that a massive 340 sounds like it should more than work but I'm goin by wut zzp is tellin me they've seen on the dyno...Sooo idk

That would be "purpletrtor" or Alex, and one of his pumps failed leaning the hell out of the car but probably didn't blow then because of the ethanol. If you can get a steel tank and sump it, that would probably be the best route and save some money in the end.

This.

Please, don't take everything zzp tries to sell you on, seriously. They are in fact, a business.

Like fosho said, a good sump system will be the best route with an in line boost a pump.

Be more specific Paco.

Anyways,

If you are set on duAls.... Then I suggest making a trip to home depot for the parts you'll need to make the setup like I did.

Lots of 340's have issues with reliability. Not only in our application as well.

Yup that's the one he was talking bout. And steel tank and sump it like a race car pretty much? Also do you know was it just a faulty pump, bad setup, or? Because I was just thinking dual 255 pumps because I already have one that's working great but if its not big enough then ya..

most commonly from what i have seen is the second fails due to overheating, or an electrical problem.

other times, people use a cobb switch but the switch always seems to fail.

Sry phone posted that twice.....so you would need two rewire kits then and just modify the bucket? Would you still be able to.use the.venting tube if I make it bigger with short Y's to the pump?

no get rid of the venturi system.

you'll want to set one of these up.
