1. I get 2 IC cores is probably not gonna net me a ton of performance gain so spare me that. Im doing this to do something different.

2. Ive already got a lot of the obvious issues (hood clearance) stuff figured out.

I need a little advice here to save me some troubleshooting down the road...

Current setup- zzp S2 IC

Core -> res -> HE#1 -> HE#2 -> Pump -> core

Im going to put another core on top of my current one. Looking more for a SSIC since the price is usually lower and easier to find.

My question comes to the routing of the hoses. My idea is to have the lines go from the cores to the res and then go from a "T" fitting out of HE#2 to the dual pumps. My issue is, I am wondering if the pull of the 2 pumps from HE#2 is going to be to much? Do you think the "T" fitting in the plumbing will work or will I need maybe a secondary res after HE#2?

If there are any other ideas on the current plan Im all ears too that was just one of my main concerns...

Let me get this straight, you're going to put a Short Stack Core, on top of a Full Size Core?

I like the idea, don't get me wrong but personally, I would think having that "thick" of a core, would hurt performance over the enhanced cooling affect because it's a lot for the air to pass through before it reaches the LIM.

Chris Hinson (OrangeL67) has done lots of research on an ideal intercooler setup, and he recently came out saying he's going to use two Short Stack Cores with a Phenolic spacer. Won't be as thick as a FSIC core (or maybe equal), and will yield a larger cooling affect. Maybe something to think about.
 
would it be easier to setup 2 independent systems because the flow rate of the pumps is probably not going to be identical.
 


I think to avoid those types of problems I would use 1 pump that has a large flow rate.

another thing to consider is the difference in cooling from the cores, for example, having the top intercooler will cool x amount while the bottom intercooler also cools x amount, but the combination may not net the sum of both intercoolers because air flow over the heat exchangers is different. this is just a theoretical situation, I dont know how applicable it really is.

did someone actually try to do a double or is that a triple intercooler? could a eaton m90 actually move that volume of air?
 


What could possibly be more headache than 1 intercooler? Using more than 1 intercooler of course............

I seriously dont know why anyone thinks an intercooler is a headache... Ive not ever had problems with mine in the many years running it.
 
Unless you live in the magical land of free IC setups, I would highly recommend switching your power adder. You will get limited gains from a dual core.
