Drop some knowledge on this Thread -2004 Comp G looking at New Wheel Options

Hi. Everyone,

I Just purchased Michelin As Sport 3 225/55/17.....Found out shortly after that the wheels were starting to show oxidation and one had a slight bend. I am debating going with refurbished reconditioned Wheels or perhaps a custom made Boyd coddington option.

it s my understanding OEM Chrome wheel is 17x6.5 5x115 +52 offset. Would anyone know the back spacing or is that not needed because we have the offset ?

I was interested in trying to keep it somewhere around 17 x 7. If I were to get a custom wheel would anyone recommend an adjustment on the offset or should I maintain the +52 if available. ?

If the manufacturer of the wheel does not offer a +52 option , what offset can I still get a good fit With no shannigans?

Car has not been lowered if that matters in anyway. Thank you for info. Keep on Smiling

I used own a car with 16x7 with a +25 offset I believe and I was lowered 1.5in front and rear. I never had rub issues and it worked with that stance.

If you went with 17X7's or something like that I would go with a something around like a +40 if they had anything like that. It's been a long time since I looked at wheels for these cars.
