DRL question....

Is there just a fuse to take them out? or do I have to pull the radio out and remove that black box thing I read about before, but I think that was just for auto headlights?

Ok I just did this and here are pics with me explaining:

Here is what you see when you look at the harness from the drivers side of the vehicle in side where that little fuse thingy is:

What you need to pull has the blue tab on it. Do NOT do anything with the blue tab. That has nothing to do with it.

Here is a pic with it still connected from the bottom of the IP. I'm looking up at it right now. As you can see it's held together by the thing at the end that you simply use a flat head screwdriver to push in. I used both hands. One from the top pulling the harness and one from the bottom with a flat head screw driver pushing the harness out of it's lock position.

Here is what it looks like out of the Heat Sink.

That little tab on the top is what you need to push with the flat head screw driver. Here is a side pic of what you need to push down.

Here is what it looks like off of it's heatsink. Just leave it hanging somewhere.

Now I just did this and I noticed that DRL are OFF and high beams work. If you have your fog light switch on, the fogs will work with the high beams also. If you want your fogs on without your DRL's, you have to move the switch to the next position. DRLS will still be off but now you can turn on your fogs. If you switch it to the last setting all the lights will work including the DRL's. I have yet to drive during the night, so I'll let you know how the automatic lights work.

Hope this helped :D

wait so, only the highbeams work? or do they all work when you turn the headlight switch all the way over? I just want it so I can have my parking lights and fog lights on only.

I just want it so I can have my parking lights and fog lights on only.

Just pull that heatsink wire like the pics shown above, and just the DRL's will go out. The low beams, brights, and Automatic lights will work as normal.

I removed my DRL heatsink plug to achieve the Parking/Fog mod too. :th_thumbsup-wink:
