I have a really loud clunk on the driver's side front i think. i replaced the hub bearing the cv axle strut mounts sway bar to chassis mounts and sway bar links i have inspected my car tightened everything up and it still makes this noise. It makes the noise turning left at full lock and sometimes going straight in the morning if i get on the gas a little bit and it also does it in reverse if you give it enough gas to make the car move. its made this noise since i went down the drag strip i cant find out what this noise is i have replaced the motor and trans mount and all of the a arm bushings are fine the springs are not moving nor is the struts. I am completely mind boggled on what this could be. I have read up on similar problems and i cant find anything to help me. any help would be greatly appreciated. the noise is driving me crazy and i know someone has the same problem that i do. the noise happens when im in drive and when reverse and when i turn either way in drive or reverse. i have no idea what it is

Tie rods have been replaced but i might just replace them for the hell of it and im not sure about the ball joints.

dont have my problem, i couldnt tell if it was a ball joint on mine till it failed and lets say i ruined one of my rims. no damage to the car but since i have 20s i dont think it let the rest of it. going 70ish and have that fail scary

yeah i'm pretty dang sure that's a ball joint from the sounds of it. the one on the passenger side just went out on my 94 SE in my high-school parking lot thursday. i went to turn out of my parking spot that i was in and it made a really loud clunk when i turned left and it did it again after i straightened out and then it fell apart. pulled the cv apart and sprayed grease in the lower end of the engine bay and tore the fender flare off and dented the bottom of the fender. so im sure it's a ball joint.

well im going to replace the ball joint and the hub bearing since its under warranty because now its making a rubbing noise and vibrates the left side when i turn

put a wrench on your control arm bolts. Dont just look at them, put a wrench on them and give it a tug. I had the EXACT same symptoms to a tee and had looked over everything 10 different times, pryed on all the joints and bushings looking for wore out parts. I finally justhappened to put a wrench on the control arm bolt and it was loose. Fixed the problem in 1 minute
