Dr.Pepper (Headlights and Fog Lights Installed!!)

Re: Dr.Pepper (A lot of new pictures + New Trunk Badges)

So you might as well paint it if you have to prep it like paint for vinyl...

Re: Dr.Pepper (A lot of new pictures + New Trunk Badges)

Looking good. You could always try a larger piece of vinyl on the rear. Perhaps something like this.

Didn't wanna look like every other Grand Prix. I'm not crazy about it either, but it's different and not something I've seen done before. I'll rock it.

I say go with the thing you got going on but make it flow from the tail lights better instead of just a straight bar.

Re: Dr.Pepper (Super Cool Race Vids)

Did you go race down a gravel road?

I have a dirt road by my new house.. it sucks because that road makes everything I need to go to only 5 minutes away.. where if I go around it.. I spend 10 minutes.. so yea.. the cars always dirty now :(

Trying to go faster with a low tank of gas?

/troll

Mannnn ya caught me!

That light came on right when I started the car lol

Re: Dr.Pepper (Filter fixing and painted engine bay)

Well my filters been giving me some sh*t and coming off of the throttle body from the pressure of the cruise control module. I need new upper motor mounts to keep the motor from moving so much. Next investment I promise lol

So I noticed the filter fell off yesterday lol
Filter meet headers, headers filter

Yes that's gorilla glue keeping the coupler and the filter together. It works well.

Drove without a filter and the car didn't like it at all. Would struggle to stay above 500 rpms when throttle is released, I was driving double pedal all the way home, foot on brake to stop and foot on gas to keep rpm's up.

Got rid of this bracket because it sat the cruise control module too far out:

and then zip tied the cruise control module to some wires:

That's that.. hopefully it'll stay put for a bit.

Here's a current engine bay pic:

I painted the fuel rails silver to accent. I also painted the plastic pieces between the bumper and frame gloss black:

And I also painted inside of where the grilles are:

It's a subtle touch, I really like it. Here's with the grille off:

Re: Dr.Pepper (Filter fixing and painted engine bay)

That filter...just got lighter from that melt job.

Also...snip off the tops of those zipties, breh.

Your signature...irks me the wrong way...lol

Zip-tying the module to the wiring harness is not really a good idea. Probably would be fine, but I don't think I would do it.

This...TBH.

Either delete it like I did on the blue one...or, modify the bracket at least to where it is more secure than zipties.

Re: Dr.Pepper (Filter fixing and painted engine bay)

It'll be fine for now. I'd rather have my filter not catch on fire because of the headers lol

I'll find another time to fix it. Why do you guys say it's not a good idea? Not secure or some sh*t?

Its not solid. So when you drive it is going to move and vibrate all over. And that weight will be pulling on the wires. Not a good idea to have anything pulling on wires.
